Half Moon Run: Be guided by the momentum

Let's fly to Canada today.

In a music studio among the cosmopolitan streets of Montreal and its rich musical scene. There, three musicians are playing, rehearsing songs at night, after a day of work. Devon Portielje, Conner Molander and Dylan Phillips (joined few months later by Isaac Symonds) are forging Half Moon Run.

Later, the Quebecker label music Indica allowed Half Moon Run to rise.

For now on, two wonderful albums are released: the first, Dark eyes (2012) and the still warm Sun Leads Me On which went out at the end of 2015.

A lot of flattering comparisons are flowering in interviews they gave or articles wrote about them. We can add so far that Half Moon Run proposes an universal but a good and inspired atmosphere that makes those lyrics and music, without exception, really accessible and at the same time truely emotional.

To have been so lucky to see them in Angers (Le Chabada) in 2015, I just advice you to run at their concert. I saw the band in a not so big concert hall, with not so much people (mostly fans) and still, all of them gave all their guts to produce on the stage a fantastic energy, an amazing musical presence, sensitive emotions, for us, for them, to enjoy the show. A show of truely great musicians.

Bonus 1 : If I had to choose one song, 'Unofferable', eighth track from Dark Eyes, would definitely worth to be listen. Even if 'Narrow Margins' from Sun Leads Me On is extremely close !

Bonus 2: A little (and poor) insight of their vibratory gig at Le Chabada in Angers for their 2015 french tour !

Stay tuned, taberouette !
